More About Me!

My favorite things to do are:  attend church on a regular basis, hanging out with friends and family. Family gatherings, cooking, listening to music, playing the Sims, Going to the movies, and just living. 

Favorite Artists are: Marvin Gaye, Sade, Fantasia, Kindred the Family Soul, and R.Kelly, Aaliyah (You are missed!!) Lauryn Hill, Maze feat. Frankie Beverly, Kem, Smokie Norful, and Many more!!

My most favored artist is Mr. Marvin Gaye, I believe he was a great artist while he was alive and even more now that he has passed. His music is very inspirational, he sung about most of the issues going on in the world today. He will be forever missed.

 

Me!

Hello, and thank you for visiting my page. My name is Tomeka Gary-Wilbourn, My father was Mr. Leroy Gary Jr, who died when I was 11 years old. At this time in my life I am trying to catch up on the things I missed with this side of my family, So I am looking forward to who I may talk to or meet. I am a down to earth lady. Just enjoying life and trying to keep God first in everything. I am located in Southern California, and yes it is always hella hot out here. But overall California is pretty ok.

Well, here is a bit of information about myself: I am 26 years old, going on 27 in December YA!!! I am married to a wonderful man, we will be married going on 7 years in January 2007, No children yet!!! We are hoping God will bless us with a child soon. We have two cats at this time, one names Paige, and the other names Smar. Of course, they are bad as I dont know what, but I love them anyways.                     

My Self!

I was drafted to California in 1987; at that time I was 6 years old. And I have just stayed here ever since.  My Mother remarried a man name Eddie J.  Sasser, who raised me from age 6 to now! I am very grateful that God sent him into my life and my mothers life. I wouldn't trade any of the time, and love I have had with him, and I was and am very happy to call him my father.  I was born in Houston, TX in December 1980, to Mr. Leroy Gary Jr and Rosilyn Gary (At that time). I would have liked to get to know my birth father much better, but things didn't work out that way, so I have to start from now! I also have four other sisters that live in Houston at this time. One passed away July 2004, her name was Yolanda Denise Gary, she was a very sweet sister, I miss you Denise! But God has truly blessed all my family, everyone is doing very well.

I recently found out from my Aunt Nora Barnes that I had other family I had never seen or heard of, I was very thrilled to know this. So, now I am trying to catch up for lost time, which is really impossible, but to know and find family that I never knew is a wonderful blessing. For years I felt all alone, but now this makes me feel more fulfilled.

Well, as for me know, I am working as a Dental Assistant; I have been doing this for about four to five years. This is not my final stomping ground but it is a good job for me now. I also am going to college at this time; I am taking two degrees right now, Liberal Studies (Teaching) and Culinary Arts (Personal Chef). My desire is to become an elementary school teacher, 3^rd grade preferably. I also would love to work with Special education students as well. Then I would also love to be a Personal Chef, I love to cook!!! I also am interested in Sign Language. So to sum this all up, I like a lot of stuff. I just have to find away to connect everything.
